When I first heard the term wholesale airfare it didn t make any sense to me. Wholesale refers to things bought in bulk. So how can airfares be called wholesale?
In my quest to find an answer, here’s what I found. Wholesale airfare is a new term (kind of a fad) that is used for air tickets purchased as bulk which comes with discounted rates. But why would anyone purchase air tickets in bulk? The answer is quite simple. In terms of wholesale airfare, ‘bulk’ simply means more than four tickets; not dozens. So quite understandably, there will be thousands of people who will seek the option of buying wholesale airfare. After all, who doesn’t like discounts?
From where to get wholesale airfare is the next probable question in your mind. Travel consolidators and online air travel agencies are the main parties who provide wholesale airfare services. What happens is that they usually sign a contract with an airline which agrees on discounts when travel agencies purchase an X amount of tickets. Therefore, in order to reach this agreed number of tickets, online travel agencies offer wholesale airfare rates for anyone who purchases more than four tickets. This way, the traveler walks off with a low airfare while the agency too makes its earnings.
So, if you are planning on a family vacation or a vacation with a bunch of friends or simply if you are planning to travel in a travel-buddy group, you should bear in mind that you are entitled to wholesale airfare rates. You may have come across travel agencies that offer super cheap prices if you’d like to join in a group of travelers on a guided tour. If the concept of group traveling being cheaper than individual or couple traveling, had bothered your mind, now you know the secret – wholesale airfares can work wonders!
The wonder of wholesale airfares can go wrong if you are not careful enough. So before you do online businesses with airfare agencies, there are a couple of things that you need to be mindful about. The first step is to figure out whether the agency is reputed and trustworthy. You should not make payments to unauthorized or untrustworthy websites. The next thing to watch out for is to see if the website provides all necessary information such as the airline, date, meals provided or not. Lastly but not in the least, you should check whether the website has a real time checker system to check the availability of flights. If not, you may be bombarded with frequent calls from the travel agent, which may become a pain and a time waste!

Who would not want to receive a discounted airfare on their travel from one corner of the world to another? We all love discounted airfares and that is no doubt. For travelers, nothing can be a better bonus than saving up money on airfares. But what if these discounted airfare rates comes with strings attached?
Supplying discounted airfare was so much in demand that many airlines came up with different schemes. Some of these schemes did not provide any upfront advantage for the traveler, at all. As a result many travelers sought help from online ticketing agencies who provide better rates than the airline itself.
“Frequent traveler” scheme is one of the ways in which airlines offered discounted airfare. Whenever a traveler purchases an airfare, they would accumulate points in their membership card. When the points reach a certain level, they are able to redeem points as a discounted airfare.
Another commonly used discounted airfare scheme used by certain airlines is to offer discounts on upfront online bookings. These schemes look promising on the outlook but can be a problem in the long run if something goes wrong. Online bookings are almost always non-refundable. Even if they are refundable, the traveler will end up losing a lot of money in the end. So if you were to book a flight for December and if you were to make the booking in June in order to become eligible for a discounted airfare, you may not be fully aware of what can unfold in your life by December.
With airlines offering nearly imperfect discounted airfare deals, many people tend to settle on consulting an online ticketing agency in order to book their flights. These agencies almost always carry an understanding with airlines that provide special discounts upon booking a certain number of seats. (The number of seats in this case can be as high as half of the flight!) Nevertheless, if you were booking more than four seats with online agencies, they will provide special discounted airfare for you without any hassle or fuss.
But be cautious as to what you are being offered! Sometimes online agencies can provide services below your level of expectation in light of providing discounted airfare. Therefore, it is always best of check out the nitty-gritty details before you give the green light to ticketing agents that you find online. If the service provider is known to you and trust worthy, then there should be little to worry about! So always follow your heart and recommendations from others!

Traveling the world is the dream of many people living in all countries. It is a passion shared by many and in most cases, a farfetched and non-realized dream on part of others. Those who are smart enough to find cheap international airfare, almost always get to become one step closer to living their dream and chasing their passion, no matter which part of the world they come from. So what is this great secret attached to international airfare that some people are totally aware of and the others are blind of?
If you take the Asian context where economies are mostly in their baby stages or growing stages, people face many financial difficulties. Therefore a middle class family living in South East Asia, travelling the world could be as big as the biggest dream they ve ever dreamt of. This of course is a mind barrier in most cases. People consider travelling abroad and international airfare associated with it as a big deal, when actually it is not!
There are plenty of airlines that offer good deals for frequent travelers, even if it means that they do a round trip on budget. International airfare is usually cheapest among the region that you live in. So for example, if you live in Malaysia, you can get to China on the cheapest international airfare rates that exists. Similarly if you travel within the continent, then the international airfare rates are cheaper than travelling across continents or crossing oceans.
With airfare industry coming to a downturn following the economical decline, many airlines have come forward to offer good deals for those who want to explore the world before the world gets in to a major economic depression. An Asian airline offers hot seats in which you will make the reservation three months prior to your visit. This way you will walk away with tickets that are half the usual price. How do you like that for a change?
If you can set your mind on travelling the world, international airfare will not become a barrier because you can always find ways to receive the best deals in the world. There s a growing demand for competitive international airfare rates therefore, you will find more organizations competing to offer best rates in town. So all I have to say is, leave your worries behind whereas international airfare is concerned because good deals always comes along. Whenever you find a deal that you cannot miss out on, go ahead and visit the country while taking advantage of the best ever international airfare that you could get!
