People who travel in a long hour experience jetlag. Athletes, who travel to different countries for their tournaments, attribute their poor performance on jetlag. Business people, who go to various destinations for their business schedules, hold jetlag as responsible for their bad days. These examples show that jetlag affects the entire individual physical and performance.

Jetlag is a condition when the internal body clock is being disoriented because of crossing time zones. Some of the common symptoms of jetlag are lack of concentration, loss of drive, malaise, hard to sleep at night, tiredness and headaches.

Generally, the hardness of jetlags is dependent on the direction of the travel. Most experts say that when people travel westward the occurrences of jetlags are lesser than eastward. This is because the body clock will be extended up to 27 hours when a person travels to westward. This effect the body is able to catch up with whatever changes in the environment

Moreover, the internal body clock called “circadian rhythm” is more than 24 hours when a person travels westward. This is happen because the time of the day is lengthened, thus, giving more time for the body to adjust.

In reality, there is no quick healing to “cure” the signs of jetlags. It is depend on each person’s body internal to recovery. However, there are ways to face it so as to start healthier in the new environment.

1. Keep staying outside during the day is suggested to coup up with jetlags. This is because the person’s body clock will be able to adjust faster if it will become accustomed to the new environment. Usually, natural light aids in coping up with jetlags.

2. It is best for a person to adjust their bedtime schedule so as to avoiding the hardness of jetlags. Their body clock enable to cover up with the changes in time setting.

3. It is recommended if people will start sleeping, eating, and doing other usual activities refers to the local time setting of the destination place.

4. For people who travel due to some crucial appearance like the sports player or the entrepreneurs, it is the best way to travel earlier of time to their event schedules. This is to give the internal body clock more time to adjust and get accustomed of the area.
